Turck is the first supplier to present 2-wire DC sensors without reduction factor.  Turck has extended the uprox+ sensor family with a Factor 1 sensor version in 2-wire DC technology. The inductive 2-wire technology is of special interest for machine builders, who sell to Japan, France and the USA, as this type of sensor is mostly applied in these countries. Moreover, mechanical switches can easily be replaced as the new sensor version can be connected to the existing cable network.  The first series of the 2-wire DC sensors by Turck is available as M12, M18, M30 and CK40 version. If the sensors are combined with the Turck Remote-I/O Fieldbus system BL20, events of wire break or short circuit can be detected immediately. The Factor 1 sensors of the uprox+ family made by Turck do not have a reduction factor and therefore the switching distance to materials like steel, stainless steel, copper, brass and aluminium is identical. Simple and space saving mounting are further advantages of these sensors.
