Safety Light Curtains

Type 4 safety light curtains protect personnel from injury and machines from damage by guarding points of operation, access, areas and perimeters. With self-checking circuitry, Type 4 light curtains provide control reliability and high levels of fault tolerance.
Type 2 safety light curtains are a cost-effective light curtain safety solution for guarding lower-risk applications, where the result of an accident is only a slight injury. Type 2 light curtains feature a large field of view and use fault exclusion to ensure the integrity of safeguarding.

Two-Hand Control

Modules monitor the output of each mechanical switch button and deenergizes when the machine operator removes one or both hands from the buttons, providing protection for the worker actuating the hand controls.

Emergency Stop & Stop Control

E-Stop devices provide workers a means of stopping a device during an emergency by pushing a button or pulling a rope in order to prevent injury to personnel and material loss.

• 30 mm mounting base enables easy installation and hookup with no assembly, individual wiring or additional enclosure required
• Flush Mount E-Stops are available in four model styles: standard actuator, illuminated standard actuator, lockable actuator, and an illuminated lockable actuator

Enabling Devices

A manually operated safety control device which, when continuously activated and used in conjunction with a separate actuating control, will allow the machine to function in manual operating mode.

Safety Interlock Switches

Safety interlock switches respond when a mechanical guard opens. Interlock switches feature "positive opening" contacts for high reliability regardless of environmental conditions and withstand attempts to override the switch and defeat the system.

Non-contact safety switches

Non-contact safety switches from RET Automation Controls can be used for the safe monitoring of movable guards as well as for position monitoring.  The choice among two operating principles (magnetic and rfid) and different designs allow to select the solution that best fits the application requirements and is most efficient.

Safety Scanner

Safety laser scanners provide a laser safety solution for safeguarding mobile vehicles and stationary applications, such as the interior of robotic work cells that cannot be solved by other safeguarding solutions.

Safety relays

Modules are used to increase the control reliability and safety integrity of a circuit and devices.

• E-Stop & Guard Monitoring Modules - Modules monitor normally-closed emergency stop switch circuits or safety interlock switch circuits for a contact failure or wiring fault.
• Interface Modules - Module provides isolated safety output contacts for a primary safety device with solid-state or relay contact outputs and external device monitoring (EDM) capability.
• Extension Modules - Module provides additional safety outputs for a primary safety device such as an E-stop safety or two-hand control module.
• DUO-TOUCH SG Two-Hand Control Safety Modules - Module connects to STB switches, monitoring the outputs of each button, preventing an output signal if it detects a fault and de-energises when the operator removes one or both hands.
