Turck extends switching distances for three uprox+ families.   Turck has released three new uprox+ models that offer the highest switching distances currently available for their specific designs. The EG08 sensors allow flush mounting and provide reliable detection of metallic objects over a three mm distance. The switching distance of the only eight mm high Q08 family has been increased to a maximum range of 12 mm (non-flush mounting). And the Q80 sensors guarantee the highest switching distances of up to 80 mm even in harsh automotive environments, like skid-detection.

In addition, the small-sized Q08 plastic sensors and the Q80 models effectively eliminate predamping, thanks to a lateral shielding provided. In this way, the user can utilise the full switching distance even when the sensors are mounted on metal surfaces.

The EG08 and Q08 sensors’ compact housing designs offer high reliability for applications requiring only limited mounting space. The dustproof, pressure and waterresistant IP68 sensors can be used in food and beverage applications, as well as in the packaging industry.

The Factor 1 sensors of the uprox+ family do not have a reduction factor and, therefore, the switching distance is always the same no matter the material being sensed, for example steel, stainless steel, copper, brass and aluminium. Simple and space saving mounting are further advantages of these sensors.
