Turck's IO-Link hub brings 16 incoming or outgoing digital signals to the controller via IO-Link. Each port of the TBIL-M1-16DXP can be used as an input or output without any
configuration required.
This makes the hub particularly suitable for applications which have to link many digital actuators and sensors in a restricted space, such as in pick-to-light systems. The I/O hub can also be used in combination with Turck's NIC inductive coupler, which can provide contactless data and energy transmission, for the wear-free connection of tool changers to sensors and actuators. The I/O hub even enables the unique identification of the tool without the use of RFID or barcodes.
The PNP outputs of the hub are specified up to 0.5 A. The device functions as an IO-Link device (specification v1.1) and can thus be connected to all IO-Link masters. With an extended temperature range from -40 to +70 °C and protection to IP67 it can also be used in outdoor applications. The output function of the hubs can also be deactivated selectively if required. In addition to the new universal hub, Turck also offers I/O hubs with 16 digital inputs and devices with 8 digital outputs.
